Today we're talking about recommendations.
With RealArcade 1.4 we give you some organization of our game catalog to help you find the right game. We divide games into genres and you can search through the most popular games. The problem is that's all you can really do. The bigger the catalog gets, the harder it is to just browse for games unless you know exactly what you're looking for. If you're relatively new to RealArcade, dredging through the game listings by genre can sometimes take a while.
We're adding some extra tools to help people find the right game for them and the first of these tools is the new "Recommendations" search.
This little gadget lets you search for new games based on a single game you already like. We're not just talking about games in the same "genre" here either. Maybe you like things with a Pirate theme? Perhaps you enjoy Mysteries? Your interest in a game might go beyond the genre (i.e. puzzles) and be into a specific game mechanic (match 3 gem games for example). It is just these sort of connections that our recommendation engine reveals to you.
The way it works is you pick a game you already like from the list and it will perform a search through our catalog based on the game you selected. This can make searching for new games much easier.
